Like the cut and reassembled canvases in my latest series, our unconscious mind dissects memories and rearranges them—with the edges of newer experiences overlapping and partially erasing the past.

These works each start with a canvas, laden with acrylic paint, cut into pieces and glued back together in sculptural formations. Other elements are added—repainted pieces from abandoned canvasses, jewelry loved but no longer worn, old items of ripped clothing—as remnants of the past.
