Synapses (24"x36")

Synapses captures the essence of the frontal cortex, where neurons look beautiful, like trees, with synapses hanging on branching dendrites. 

 

I used muliple layers with wavy brushstrokes to create a sense of abstracted and interconnected trees and plants. Multiple shades of red, green, orange and yellow lend vibrancy and dimension.
